J.J. Lancer has been a member of Suite101 since 2010. He prefers the name Lancer.

Lancer came to Christ in the summer of 2007 after listening to a sermon delivered by preacher Paul Washer. His first and foremost identity is his faith, which shapes and impacts every aspect of his life, including his writing. He is currently a student at Westminster Theological Seminary and is pursuing a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry.

Recently, he has been writing fiction -- short stories and novels in the fiction and thriller genres -- and has been working as a freelance blogger and writer. He runs his own personal blog, TyroLancer, where he self-publishes his works of fiction, details his journey as a writer, and offers advice for those pursuing the craft.
